Choosing the font for acknowledgement, availability, and branding has consistently been more of an art than a science. But some fonts are unique to particular uses: most email programs default to Gill Sans, Helvetica, or Arial, Cambria, a font made for simple onscreen reading is preferred by many Mac fans and graduate students should use 12 point Times or Times New Roman.
